爆炸袭击发生后，比利时移动通讯运营商 Telenet 也迅速向公众免费开放 Wi-Fi 热点，而美国的主流运营商也加入到支持救援的队伍当中。AT&T、Sprint、Verizon 和 T-Mobile 表示，将不收取从美国打往比利时的国际长途电话和短信的费用，其中 Verizon 表示免费时间将持续至 3 月 23 日，而 Sprint 的则是截止至 3 月的最后一天，其它运营商如 T-Mobile 和 Verizon 也向前段时间也遭到恐怖袭击的土耳其开放了免费通话服务。
Facebook、Twitter、Google 以及在此次事件中支持救援的通讯运营商做出的行动值得肯定，不过我们还是希望以后用到这些工具、服务的机会越少越好。
